Baptist Men's Day was observed Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. In the absence of Dr. Dupree, James Smith brought the message on "Let's Build Together." The scripture was from Matthew 7:24-27 and I Samuel 7:12. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Shelton placed a pretty arrangement of flowers in the church. The choir did a super job - all male. B.C. Kennedy sang a special, "What A Day That Will Be," one of my favorite hymns. ..Happy birthday to Trudy Ingram, January 24; Tonya Ryll, January 26; and Lisa Davenport, January 31 - all sisters. Also happy birthday to Beth Wallace and Brad Tucker. ..I visited Shane Gaines and Tanner in Crawford last week. We met at Bells and had a nice visit. ..Miss Grace Dunaway and Alec Dunaway visited Beverly Teasley in Lincoln County last Monday, enjoying supper with her. ..Russell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Sara Huff. Sara, Russ, Cassie, Mitch, and Bryson Taylor had dinner with Mrs. Keith Standard and family after church. ..Friends of Michelle Smith Walker would be sad to know that she is critically ill. Michelle's mother, Margaret Hegee of Athens, is not doing well either. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Standard visited them last week. Mrs. Keith Standard, Mrs. Sara Huff, and Peyton Standard visited Michelle and her family in Athens Saturday. .. Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Ryll, Connor and Calley, were supper guests of Mrs. Lucille Ingram and Trudy Saturday. ..I visited one of my doctors in Augusta Thursday. In the afternoon I visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sleister in Columbia County. On Sunday, GB and I had dinner with my parents in Lincoln County. ..Sincere sympathy to all who have lost loved ones recently, especially to the Leland Albea family.
