Leland W. Albea
Funeral services for Leland W. Albea, Hulin Avenue, Tignall, were held Monday, January 22, 2007, at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, January 20, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.
Mr. Albea was a native of Wilkes County and had lived most of his life in the county. He was a machinist in the textile industry and a talented musician, able to play several instruments. He was the son of the late Charles W. and Clara Bailey Albea and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Darryl Albea of Tignall, and Clint Albea of Washington; and a sister, Phyllis A. Reese of Harlem.
Pallbearers included Carl Bailey, Thomas Bailey, Ben Joe Norman, Danny Heard, Charles Heard, and Joe Heard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
