Funeral services for Corey Grant, 30, of Washington were held January 13, 2007, at the Springfield Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. Interment was in the Gibson Grove Baptist Church cemetery, Washington. He died Saturday, January 6.

Mr. Grant was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of Curtis and Mary Alice Grant. He was a graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and was employed at Anthony Forest Products in Washington.

Survivors include his parents, Curtis and Mary Alice Grant; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Miller, Washington, and Len Jones, Atlanta; three children, Cordeious Kemondre Grant, Atlanta, Tycoria Dashae Grant and Devin Cortavion Grant, Washington; three brothers, Curtis, Brandon and Christopher Grant of Washington; five sisters, Sandra Williams, Angela Grant, and Lashuntia Grant, all of Washington, Erica Grant and Latoya Grant of Augusta.

Pallbearers included Anthony Booker, Tamarcus Callaway, Roosevelt Cobb, Jontue Cofer, Mark Coleman, and Kious Reid.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
