Kelsey Scott, Laney Thornton celebrate
Kelsey Scott and Laney Thornton Laney Thornton and Kelsey Scott were honored on their sixth birthdays at joint celebrations with classmates and families.
Laney, daughter of Mark and Angie Thornton, was six years old on January 12, and Kelsey, daughter of Greg and Melissa Scott, was six January 15.
The girls celebrated with their kindergarten classmates at Washington Wilkes Primary School on January 12 with cupcakes, Cheetos and Kool-Aid boxes.
On Saturday, January 13, Laney and Kelsey, their mothers, and Laney's cousin, Taylor Echols, went to Augusta for a birthday lunch at Logan's Roadhouse. Afterwards they went to the Build-A-Bear Workshop where the girls had fun choosing their own bears and outfits.
In addition to these celebrations, both girls enjoyed separate gatherings with their families.
Laney, her parents, brother, Jackson, grandparents, Gene and Caroline Thornton and Bobby and Vivie Ann Wilson; also Tammy and Taylor Echols enjoyed a special birthday dinner at Soap Creek in Lincoln County on her birthday.
Kelsey celebrated with her family on January 14 at the home of her maternal grandparents, Randy and Mable Tucker. She had a Pink Poodle cake made by her mother and enjoyed with ice cream, Cheetos, hot wings and dip, M&M's, fruit, pigs-in-a-blanket and assorted drinks. With Kelsey, her parents, and grandparents were her brothers, Levi and Logan; paternal grandparents, Sam and Janice Scott; Pembroke, Chrissie and Jackson Pope of Canton; Karen, Grant, Miles and Chase Chafin, Jean Gunter, Donna and Lauren Chafin, Brenda Danner, Becky Danner and Cash Gibson of Lincolnton.
