Girls split in weekend games

Jaleesa Hampton (above) gets a shot off as the Washington-Wilkes Lady Tigers move toward a win in recent basketball action. She scored 17 points in last Friday's 70-69 overtime region win over Morgan County. The girls weren't so fortunate against Lincoln County the next night and suffered a disappointing 58-65 loss. More details on these and other games of the W-W Lady Tigers, who now stand at 8-12 for the season, will be included in next week's edition.
