Taylor McAvoy of Lavonia enjoyed her fifth birthday on Sunday, January 7, with two parties on her birthday weekend. Taylor is the daughter of Shala Hendry of Lavonia and Richard and Mandy McAvoy of Washington.

On Saturday, January 6, Taylor enjoyed an indoor swimming party at the home of Inez Roach with her friends from Grace Academy Preschool. Taylor celebrated with a Disney Princess theme and she and her guests enjoyed cake, ice cream and party favors after swimming.

On Sunday Taylor had a Care Bear-theme party at Pump It Up in Athens for her out-of-town friends and family from Athens, Elberton, Tignall, Gwinnett and Royston. Taylor and her friends enjoyed playing in the two party rooms at Pump It Up before retreating to another party room for cake and ice cream.

Taylor is the granddaughter of Lee Hendry of Elberton, Jim Hendry and Larry and Linda McAvoy of Washington and the great-granddaughter of Bill Hendry, also of Washington.
