The 2006 Football Sports Banquet was held Wednesday, January 24. W-W Tiger football players who received awards were (front row, l-r) Derron Walton, Defensive Lineman of the Year; Khiry Tutt, Coaches' Award; Gary Wilburn Defensive Back of the Year; Cedic Quinn, Coaches' Award; Charles Wood, Scout Defense Player of the Year; Demont Gresham, Linebacker of the Year. (back row, l-r) Dwyane Hampton, Defensive Player of the Year; Jay Small, Receiver of the Year; Dan Wylie Offensive Lineman of the Year; Clete Wilson, Mr. Tiger; Larry Davis, Most Improved; Kelmetrus Wylie, Running Back of the Year and Most Valuable Player; Trey McCants - Coaches' Award, and (not pictured) Quarica Smith, Offensive Player of the Year; Mark Tench, Special Teams Player of the Year; and A. J. Perlotte, Scout Offensive Player of the Year.
