McMillian to serve as pastor at Beaverdam Baptist Church

REV. AND MRS. McMILLIAN REV. AND MRS. McMILLIAN Rev. John McMillian of Eatonton has accepted the call to be pastor of Beaverdam Baptist Church. The unanimous vote of Beaverdam members to call him came January 21 after having appreciated his Sunday morning messages since January 7.

Rev. McMillian has been in the ministry 57 years and is well-known throughout the Georgia Baptist Association. His previous pastorates were at Sandy Creek Baptist Church and Brownwood Baptist Church in Morgan County; Marshall Memorial Baptist Church, Eatonton; Penfield Church and Bairds Baptist Church in Union Point.

Rev. McMillian and his wife Peggy have been married 54 years and have two children, Sharon Burks and John McMillian Jr.; and six grandchildren, ages 18 to six. All live in Eatonton.

Members join Rev. McMillian in extending a cordial invitation to all to attend all services at Beaverdam. Sunday morning worship service begins at 11 a.m., following Sunday School which begins at 10:15 a.m.
