Elizabeth Dickinson Hunter

Funeral services for Elizabeth Dickinson Hunter, 75, of Sandy Cross Road, Crawfordville, were held Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at the Sandy Cross Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Palmer and Rev. Ken Carvalho officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. She died Friday, February 2, 2007, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.

Mrs. Hunter was a native of Spartanburg, S.C., and had lived most of her life in the Sandy Cross community. She was a homemaker and was the widow of Harold Lee Hunter. She was the daughter of the late Henry Dickinson and Frances Taylor Dickinson, and was a member of the Sandy Cross Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Hunter of Bogart and Billy Hunter of Crawfordville; two daughters, Lynn Johnston of Newborn and Marie McElhannon of Bostwick; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers included Frankie Hunter, John Hunter, Melvin Edwards, Edward Stratton, David Hunter, and Bobby Standard.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
