E.H. Blackmon III receives Sacrament of Holy Baptism
Edward Harris Blackmon III, son of Edward (Bubba) and Becky Roach Blackmon of Newnan, received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism during the morning worship service at Centenary United Methodist Church in Quincy, Fla., on Sunday, January 28. Dr. T. Glenn Bosley-Mitchell officiated.
Trey, as he is called, wore a white heirloom christening gown and was joined by his family for the ceremony.
After his service, his maternal grandmother, Kay Roach of Quincy, Fla., sang "Child of Blessing, Gift of God" and the pastor presented "A Story for All Ages." The congregation joined in singing "Jesus Loves Me".
The altar flowers were placed to the Glory of God and in honor of Trey.
Following the service Mickey and Kay Roach entertained at a luncheon at their home. Among the guests were Trey's paternal grandparents, Harris and Glenda Blackmon of Washington, and uncle and aunt, Wayne and Susan Blackmon Hisaw, of Martinez.
