The Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department's 2007 adult softball program has been open for registration all this month and will continue to be so until Friday, February 23. Team registration is $260.00 for the season and signup hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Four different leagues including an industrial league, a men's open league, a women's open league, and a church and civic league, are planned and teams are welcome in all.

"I am encouraging all managers to begin making plans for their teams and to register early for the spring season," W-WPRD Director Pete Gartrell said. He pointed out that all games will be played at the Ashley Park baseball/softball field.

The end-of-season tournament will be discussed at the team managers' meeting on Sunday, February 25.
