Jerrel Pharr was honored upon his retirement from Essex after 40 years of dedicated service at a retirement luncheon at the Washington Jockey Club on Wednesday, January 31.

In honor of the occasion Plant Manager Thomas Albea presented Mr. Pharr an engraved watch and monetary gift. In his presentation Mr. Albea expressed thanks for all of his endless hours of service to Essex and told how Mr. Pharr had made all their lives at Essex easier by his knowledge and service given to the data processing department.

His co-workers expressed their appreciation and as they wished him well, presented him a gift certificate to Lowe's. They ended their remarks to him with the well-used reminder he repeated to them at the close of their work, "REMEMBER TO LOG OFF!"

A special guest was Mr. Pharr's wife, Rachel. Other guests included the office staff at Essex.
