Ninth Pro Rodeo set for April 20-21 in Union Point
      The ninth annual Pro Rodeo sponsored by the Greene County Livestock Association and 4-H Club, will be held at the Union Point Rodeo Grounds Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the bucking begins at 8 p.m. Concession stands will be available for those who want to eat on the grounds.

McCormick Lions will host golf tourney at Hickory Knob park
      The McCormick County Lions Club, McCormick, S.C., will hold its annual golf tournament on Wednesday, May 2, at Hickory Knob State Park. The format will be Captain's Choice/Shotgun Start at 1:30 p.m. with lots of tournament and raffle prizes for red, white, and gold tee players. The $50 per person entry fee includes drinks and a steak cookout at the Barn following play.

State's winningest coach speaks
      Larry Campbell, who has won more Georgia football games (403) than any other coach in history, and who will be inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame next month, spoke to the Washington Kiwanis Club on Tuesday of this week. Campbell is head coach of the Lincoln County Red Devils and has been throughout his 35 years as a head coach.
