We had a very good attendance at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church for Easter services. It's nice when children and grandchildren visit their parents and go to church with them. It is always good to see them. Ansley Braxton sang a special during worship service. The Lord's Supper was observed. The covered dish meal in the fellowship hall was enjoyed by all. The very young children had fun with their colorful eggs inside while the older ones enjoyed hunting them outside. ..Mr. and Mrs. Bob Drake, Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Drake, Trae and Alyssa enjoyed spending the week at Myrtle Beach. ..Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the program and Easter lunch for seniors at Tignall Baptist Church Tuesday of last week. While in Tignall they visited Mr. and Mrs. Moose Powell who live next door to James' house in Tignall. ..Mrs. Judy Strickland of Jackson spent last Sunday night with Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty. ..Ray Branham, Whitney and Charlie had fun at Six Flags Tuesday. ..Mrs. Juanita Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. John Sutherland and Brad went to Anderson, S.C., Saturday and spent time at the Jockey Lot and had lunch at Ryan's. ..Mrs. Evans Davis joined Mrs. Lois Poss and Mrs. Gloria Rhodes and attended the play "Gypsy" at Washington Little Theater Friday night. ..Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Sherrer, Nikki and Jamie of Raleigh. On Sunday they attended services at Wilkes County Baptist Church with James. ..Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty who celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on Easter. Mrs. Cheryle Holsclaw joined them for lunch. ..Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blaine of Dahlonega spent the weekend at their mobile home. They visited Mrs. Evans Davis Saturday afternoon.
..Elizabeth Barber and Chris Conway of Athens had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance Saturday. On Sunday they and James Lance of Augusta attended services at the First Baptist church with the Lances then spent the afternoon with them. ..Mrs. Evans Davis spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins and family in Augusta. ..David Hopkins and grandson, Seth Cook, of Augusta visited Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer and their guests Saturday morning.
