Graveside services for Garretts Brittain, 41, were held Saturday, April 7, 2007, at City West Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Dennis Quinn officiating. He died April 1 at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta.

Mr. Brittain was born in Augusta to the late Lois Elizabeth Brittain and Willie L. Smith. He was a member of Gibson Grove Baptist Church and was employed at Hexcel Schwebel Corp.

Survivors include a daughter, Garniecia Brittain, Augusta; a granddaughter, Jamiyah Mays, Washington; two step-children Allison Wilkinson and Jarvis Banks of Washington; four brothers, Roderick Brittain, Jimmie Kendrick, and Willie Kendrick Jr. of Washington, and Reginald Brittain of Atlanta; and three sisters, Stephanie Davis and Patricia Brittain of Washington, and Cynthia Lanier of Rayle.

Pallbearers included Tracey Brittain, Gregory Brittain, Craig Curry, Bobby Williams, Ronald Callaway, and Frank Andrews.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
