The Office Cat
Too Late to Say Goodbye is the title of a book which wellknown author Ann Rule has written about the murders of Washington Wilkes' Dolly Hearn and Jennifer Corbin. Through the efforts of Carol Cartledge, the author will be coming to Washington- Wilkes for a book-signing on June 8. Rule writes books about true crimes only and has been to Washington Wilkes and interviewed
Barbara and Carlton Hearn in her research for writing the book about Dolly. Carol found out that Rule would be doing book signings in Atlanta and Augusta and contacted her to see if she would come here. She will be at the Mary Willis Library at 5 p.m. on June 8, and books can be purchased at that time. We will be hearing more about the plans for her visit as the time gets nearer.

The tours will be given from 3 until 5 p.m. The Association has plans for an "Adopt a Window" plan to begin the restoration. Take your flashlight with you to the tour.

The Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Class of 2007
Prom is now history and all went well. There were several before and after prom events to add to the fun of the evening. One that I know about was hosted by a student and his parents at their home. It was an all night affair with midnight snacks, a big bonfire (it was cold), and breakfast.
