Megan Leigh Smith Timothy Scott Kennedy Mr. and Mrs. Marty Smith of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Leigh, to Timothy Scott Kennedy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyce C. Kennedy Jr. of Washington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gosnell and George Partridge of Anderson, S.C., and Mrs. William S. Smith and the late Mr. Smith of Washington.

She is a 2005 graduate of Briarwood Academy in Warrenton and attends college in Augusta working towards a degree in Physical Therapy. Miss Smith is also employed at Harper's Personal Care in Washington.

Mr. Kennedy is the grandson of Mrs. Charles Saggus and the late Mr. Saggus and the late Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Kennedy; and the greatgrandson of Mrs. Annie Kate Strother, all of Washington.

He is a 2003 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and a 2006 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton where he earned an Associate in Applied Science-Horticulture Technology degree. Mr. Kennedy is employed at Great Waters, Reynolds Plantation, at Lake Oconee.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, August 25, at 4 p.m. at Tignall Baptist Church in Tignall.
