Wilkes Health Care Volunteers thanked at banquet April 19
"Volunteers Light Up Our Lives" was the theme of the Wilkes Health Care Center Volunteer Banquet on Thursday evening, April 19, at the Center.
WHC Administrator Joyce Barden greeted guests and Sherrye Denard, Activities Director, presented each volunteer a Certificate of Appreciation and a candle.
Rev. Skip Padgett and hiswife, Kathryn, were presented a special photo frame with a group photo of residents and a matte signed by the staff and residents for their service over the years. Rev. Padgett retired in January after nearly 30 years of his volunteer service in the nursing home ministry.
