Folks from all over Washington-Wilkes have kept the new Zaxby's restaurant on East Robert Toombs Avenue busy since their opening Monday. With more than 375 restaurants in the Southeast, Zaxby's is a welcome addition to the dining options in Washington, Tourism Director Ashley Barnett said. Invitations were issued to city and county employees, Chamber of Commerce members and other local guests for a free meal at the restaurant last week, and the response was great, said Zaxby's District manager Ted Lisowski.
