Jillian Wells, bride-elect of Adam Andrews, was entertained at a bridal luncheon Sunday, April 29, given by Mrs. Graham Eason, Mrs. Sparky Newsome and Mrs. Mercer Harris at the Harris home on West Robert Toombs Avenue.

For the occasion the bride-elect was lovely in a sleeveless V-neck dress fashioned with a shirred empire waistline. The sheer overlayover white featured polka dot designs in brown, turquoise and aqua.

As guests arrived, they were served mimosas from crystal flutes. Also on the entry table was a pew- ter three-tiered server with cheese straws and ginger snaps with a delectable fruit spread.

The formal gardens in the back of the home provided the perfect setting for the alfresco occasion. Three round tables under the jasmine-covered arbor and another nearby table were covered in white and overlaid in green. Each was centered with a rustic iron basket lined with green moss and adorned with purple and green ribbon. Assorted purple flowers and sweet potato vine filled and flowed from the baskets. The brideelect's place was marked by a handmade bride doll and attendants' places were marked with bridesmaids' gowns in lilac and purple. Jordan almonds in tulle with purple ribbon were also at each place.

A delicious salad luncheon was served. After the luncheon course a beautiful and delicious charm cake was enjoyed. The white confection with strawberry filling and whipped cream icing was topped with delicate sugar flowers. Prior to serving the cake, the attendants pulled purple ribbons from the cake to reveal special charms.

Assisting the hostesses in serving were Ashlyn Winfrey, Molly Newsome and Elizabeth Duggan.

After the luncheon the bride-elect presented her attendants and other special guests with gifts.

Joining the bride-elect and hostesses were her mother, Mrs. Michael Wells and grandmothers, Mrs. M.W. Johnson Jr. of Ludowici and Mrs. Quinton Wells of Hinesville; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. George Andrews of Washington; also Mrs. Ashley Andrews, Mrs. Wood Hardy, Mrs. Smythe Newsome, Mrs. Michael Tillman, and Emily and Ella Treadwell of Washington; Mrs. Lee Branton of Watkinsville; Mrs. Ryan Burton of Cairo; Mrs. Dan Clark and Mrs. Sam Feigles of Riceboro; Jessica Eason and Paige Eason of Macon; Mrs. William Eblin of Waycross; Mrs. M.W.
