Crayola and condoms

Call me goofy and I know that there are no easy answers as far as man is concerned, but not with God. The real answers lie in the good book.

Parents can train and teach their children the right way and many will go out and become prodigal sons and daughters. So even at best, life is a tough row to hoe. However, that's not to say, "Throw in the towel and do nothing."

The devil has his tricks that he is using on this modern society. He works through the system to reward those living in sin. The Bible teaches abstinence and the devil wants tolerance. Live as recklessly and irresponsibly as you want. Just be sure and use plenty of condoms and crayola.

Now, you are wondering about now what crayola and condoms have in common. Well, nothing really! Just one of my goofy thoughts you might say. But then again, maybe it's not so goofy. I'll get to that in a minute, but first, this modern day way and conveniences have brought children from being taught responsibility at home - like chores and job responsibility. Okay! And, no, I'm not saying, "Throw out the washing machine and all your appliances." I just believe there can be a happy medium.

My grandmother would find you something to do if it was just picking up rocks out of the front yard. Now, there again, "No easy answers!" Well, well!

Now to the crayola. We used color crayons and we colored on old paper sacks and anything we could get to use; even on old pieces of wood, but we had better not color on the walls. We lived in old houses, but certain things you didn't do and if you did you suffered the consequences which was the end of daddy's belt. Oh, I just know all these modern day psychologists just cringed in their seat to hear that.

We had to be responsible minded. Now, with this new modern day crayola crayons and special paper, then you can be as reckless as you wish and guess what? The color shows only on the paper, not on the walls and ceilings of the house. While all that on the surface seems so good, the moral of the story is, "You don't have to be responsible minded. Just do as you please and everything will take care of itself. Fornicate all you want and as long as you use condoms then everything will be okay. Right? Wrong!

The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death and be sure that your sins will find you out!" So even though those colors don't show on the wall they are like hidden sins and sins of the heart. Others may not see, but God does and God knows, and so do you.

So, while I'm not saying to throw out the magic crayola crayons, I am saying that we must teach children to be responsible minded and to take responsibility for their own actions and if there are no rocks in your front yard to pick up, then put a few there. Can you say amen?
