Frances Wheelis WOM members meet May 7 at Hopkins home
The Frances Wheelis Women on Mission of the First Baptist Church met in the home of Rosemary Hopkins Monday evening, May 7.
Prior to meeting at the Hopkins home, members gathered on The Square to hear the concert by the Berry College ensemble, Exaltation.
Nancy Madden, facilitator, presided at the meeting and opened with "Irish Prayer." Members then read the WMU Watchword.
A short business meeting followed and mission action projects were planned.
Gail Stewart, WMU Director, made a number of announcements of upcoming events.
Teresa Bishop offered the missionary prayer calendar and led in prayer for the missionaries and those with special needs.
At the close of the meeting members stuffed packets of items to be delivered to the residents at Harper's Personal Care.
Mrs. Hopkins served delicious refreshments during a time of fellowship.
Present were Melanie Wells, Susan Pope, Louise McClearen, Cheryl Edwards, Gail Stewart, Nancy Madden, Teresa Bishop, Gail Hunter and Mrs. Hopkins.
