Bengals finish with 9-0 record
      In the W-WPRD soccer league for 9-11-year-olds, the Bengals closed out a perfect season with a 9-0 record with an average winning score of 6-1. The team played against two other W-W teams and four Oglethorpe County teams. Coaches were Kenny Sifre and Dale Thomas.

Wilkes 4-H'ers hit their marks in state B-B tourney
      Wilkes County 4-H'ers competed at the Georgia 4-H Target Challenge Weekend in the state BB competition and hit the mark, finishing 24th out of 72 teams at the contest.

Tiger baseball to host annual camp May 29 to June 1
      The W-W Tiger baseball coaching staff and players will hold their annual summer baseball camp beginning on Tuesday, May 29, and ending on Friday, June 1. The camp is for kids ages 6-13. The cost of the camp will be $50 which will include a T-shirt and lunch on Friday.

W-W Tiger tennis team ends season at region; Coach: 'We made it farther this year than last'
      The Washington-Wilkes Tiger tennis team finished its season at the region tournament held at North Oconee High School. Coach Amy Wheatley, proud of the team's accomplishments, reported that, "We made it farther this year than last year, and I hope we continue to improve.
