Reese Karla Causey, daughter of Tim and Jessica Causey of Washington, celebrated her second birthday on May 17 with family and friends.

Reese was treated to a Shrek theme party complete with an elaborate Shrek cake made by her grandmother, Emily McKinney of Lincolnton, Shrek balloons, a dragon piñata and other party decorations.

Everyone enjoyed a cookout of hotdogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings, baked beans, chips and iced tea.
