Bride-elect Andie Moody was honored at a festive shower and brunch at the home of Erin Frost Saturday morning, May 4. Sherry Manross was co-hostess with Mrs. Frost.

As the invitation stated "A is for all about Andie, B is for bride-to-be, and C is for come and celebrate!," guests arrived knowing they were in for a special treat.

Among the first to arrive with the bride-elect were her mother, Becky Mann, and sister, Caitlyn; and grandmother, Ruby Tench, and aunt, Bonnie Sanders, both of Habersham.

The hostesses presented Miss Moody a gift of a wrist corsage of tiny white and green flowers made up on a sterling silver bracelet that had been monogrammed with what her initials will be when she is wed to Mark Bridges. Round tables were set in the Frosts' living room and were covered to the floor with white tablecloths. Centerpieces of white daisies, hot pink gerbera daisies, green bachelor buttons and gypsophila in hot pink tins adorned the tables. A splash of color was given to each table with hot pink plates, cutlery and white napkins tied in a sheer ribbon striped with hot pink, green, yellow and other vibrant spring colors. In the kitchen, large white bistro cups waited for coffee to be served as well as simple clear pedestal tea glasses to serve cold beverages.

After guests arrived and God's blessings were offered, everyone served themselves to a buffet of spinach quiche, ham quiche, hash brown potato casserole, bacon crisps, fresh asparagus bundles, sliced tomatoes with basil vinaigrette, bowls of fresh strawberries, melon, and grapes as well as warm biscuits and rolls along with butter and assorted jellies and preserves. Coffee, orange juice, iced tea, and assorted soft drinks were also offered.

A miniature three-tiered wedding cake iced in white butter cream frosting, decorated with hot pink polka dots and topped with a large hot pink silk gerbera daisy was the playful piece d' resistance of the menu and dessert.

As the bride-elect opened her gifts, she received both wise as well as somewhat silly advice from her guests.
