Vanessa Wilson and Clay Patrick, whose wedding will be an event of June 30, were feted at a handyman/ kitchen shower and supper on Saturday evening, May 19, at the Smith Club House in Kite. Hosts for the occasion were Martha and Harvey Anders, Glenda and Joe Grimm, John Martin, Deborah and Harry Martin, Laura Moore, Bonnie and Talmadge Smith, and Stephanie and Tee Smith, all of Swainsboro.

Miss Wilson, in white Capris and a brown, mauve and white halter top, was presented a corsage of daisies accented with measuring spoons.

Guests enjoyed a dinner of barbecued chicken, baked beans, onion casserole, pasta potato salad, oriental coleslaw and blueberry and lemon desserts.

A pewter tray and bowl were presented the couple during the evening.

Special guests were Candy Hopkins of Washington; Becky and Jerome Wilson of Tignall; Evelyn and Edd Patrick, Betty Jean and Eddie Andrews, Glenda Riner and Angela and Tommy Sconyers of Swainsboro; and Joanne Lane of Twin City.
