Engaged couple honored at handyman shower on June 2

Engaged couple Vanessa Wilson and Clay Patrick of Guyton were entertained at a handyman shower and cookout on Saturday evening, June 2, at the Ogburn Clubhouse in Swainsboro. Hosts for the occasion were Eloise and Bonnie Ogburn, Mark Fountain and Patti Ogburn, all of Swainsboro.

Miss Wilson chose black capris with a black and white overlay shirt. She was presented a peach rose accented with nails and screws.

A large arrangement of hydrangeas and greenery decorated the food table while individual tables featured wooden baskets accented with strawberries and red and white napkins filled with saltine crackers.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner of a Low Country Boil, salad, Hershey Bar Cake, Butter Pecan Cake and Lemonade Cake.

The hosts presented the couple a toolbox filled with necessary repair items.

Attending from the bride-elect's family were Candy and Gene Hopkins of Washington and Becky and Jerome Wilson of Tignall.
