Elizabeth Duggan, a member of the Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Class of 2007, has received a grant-in-aid scholarship from the Alpha Theta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an honorary teachers organization.

The scholarship is presented to a female student who plans to become a teacher. The scholarship was presented to Elizabeth by Deborah Webb, a member of the Alpha Theta Chapter who is a teacher in the Greene County School System.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Tom and Gail Duggan and will be a student at Georgia Southern University in the fall.
