Graveside services for James Henry "YD" Wallace Jr., 26, of Washington, were held Sunday, June 10, 2007, at City West Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Wright officiating. He died Wednesday, June 6, at Wills Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Wallace was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of Mamie Owens and Henry James Wallace. He was known for his smile and eager way to make everyone laugh.

Survivors in addition to his parents include a daughter, Yazmen Barnes of Washington; two brothers, Raymonda Owens and Ricardo Owens, both of Washington; two grandmothers, Ruby Owens of Washington and Gladys Wallace; and his great-grandmother, Rosie Mae Owens of Washington, D.C.

Pallbearers were Clifford Jones, David Mahoney Jr., Patrick Howell, Jamie Danner, Tico Gresham, and Joey Williamson.

Davenport & McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
