Charles Curry Jr. and Annie Lou Mathis prepare to welcome family members to the Curry reunion. With the theme, "Our Roots Run Deep," members of the Curry family gathered on Saturday, June 9, at the Third Shiloh Building on McLendon Drive for a reunion.

The Curry family originated in Washington-Wilkes County in the mid-1800s.

A delicious barbecue with all the trimmings was enjoyed by over 400 who attended coming from Illinois, Florida, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan and Georgia.

The event was planned by Tina Cox of Atlanta and hosted by Annie Lou Mathis and Charles Curry Jr.
