The backyard gardens at the home of Eleanor and Steve Blackmon on North Alexander Avenue provided the setting for a picnic luncheon for the J.H. Blackmon family on Saturday, June 30.

Hosts for the occasion were children of the late James and Virginia Blackmon, Becky and Bill Hooten of West Bank, B.C., Canada, Linda King Wendt of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Jimbo and Linda Hughes Blackmon of Warrenton.

A delicious covered dish picnic luncheon was enjoyed as family members reminisced.
