Dehstiny Smith celebrates seventh birthday June 18
Dehstiny began her celebration on the weekend of her birthday with her godmother, Torrie Norman of Athens, as she was treated to a trip to Charleston, S.C., where they enjoyed the beach, a ghost hunt, alligator search and Magnolia Plantation. Dehstiny celebrated on Saturday, June 23, with a hot dog and hamburger cookout at Elijah Clark State Park given by her mother and grandmother, Sara Dees. Dehstiny was treated to a Barbie cake with her picture on it. After eating, guests enjoyed swimming and playing volleyball. Goodie bags with cups, whistles, candy and toys were given as favors. Celebrating with Dehstiny were her mother; sister, Tiya; Jamie Norman, Jessica Smith, Bre, Ree and Mikayah Blakey of Lincolnton; Shannon Turner and Hope Davis, Jerry and Gerald Anderson, Alison Quinn, Tim and Michelle Mickens, Julian, Megan and Ethan Ramos, Isaiah Butler, Logan Moore, Chanjaynay Perkins, and Eric Pender, all of Washington; Roberta Barksdale and Kayla, Kendal, Chasity and Deondra Norman of Danburg. |
