'His Last Days' to be presented beginning September 1
The twenty-fourth annual presentation of "His Last Days," an outdoor musical passion drama, will be presented Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 1, and Sunday, September 2.
The drama will be presented at 7 p.m. each evening in Tallulah Falls. The drama is located at Tallulah Gallery on Old Highway 441 along the scenic Tallulah Gorge Drive.
The drama presents the last days of Jesus' life in a natural outdoor setting. A cast and choir of persons from churches, both local and across several states, portrays the powerful story of Jesus' earthly ministry. An offering is received to meet the expenses of the presentation.
Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs and any items needed to be comfortable out-of-doors. Rain is always possible, but the drama will continue following rain delays.
A hamburger and hotdog cookout is provided at a modest cost both evenings at 5:30 p.m., sponsored by the Rabun Area United Methodist Men's Club.
The drama is directed by Carole Johnson Murphy, a native of Washington Wilkes, and Jan Volk. "His Last Days" is presented by Broken Vessels Renewal Ministries. Rev. Robert M. Murphy, also a native of Washington-Wilkes, is executive director.
