Kiwanians learn about Kids Clubs

Geegee Knutson, District of Georgia Administrator for the Kiwanis Kids Program, was the guest speaker at the regular meeting of the Washington Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, August 21. Knutson presented the history, objectives, and goals of the Kiwanis Kids Program, a community service club for elementary school students. Started in 1998, the program's goals are to develop capable, competent, and caring leaders. Currently there are about 900 Kiwanis Kids Clubs nationwide (59 are in Georgia) with about 32,000 members. Debra Guin was the program host for the day.
