Taliaferro Co. sets Labor Day fair in Crawfordville September 3

Taliaferro County's 21st annual Arts and Crafts Labor Day Fair will be held in Crawfordville, the county seat, Monday, September 3, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The center of town will be closed off for the activities. Arts and crafts booths will line both sides of Broad Street and curl around the courthouse. There will be inflatable fun for the children, exhibits of antiques, and collectibles and memorabilia from the 10 movies made in and around Crawfordville.

T-shirts commemorating the 21st annual fair will be on sale throughout the area. The parade, always a favorite event, will begin at 1 p.m.

"The Labor Day Fair combines the best features of a county festival and a family homecoming," says Divenski Lee, director of the event.
