Trooper tells of GSP challenges

Past President and honorary member of the Washington Rotary Club Donnie Smith (right) updated his fellow Rotarians on various issues currently confronting the Georgia State Patrol including funding and staffing.He reported that it is increasingly hard for the GSP to compete with large metropolitan police departments in recruiting new officersand said that more funding is needed to bring staff levels in local posts up to where they need to be. Jerry Stover was program host for the day.
