We had good revival services at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church with pretty good attendance each night. Rev. Donnie Walton preached very inspiring messages. There was pretty music with Dianne Pullen at the piano and Karmen Moon and Rev. Martin singing specials. We are looking forward to having Rev. Walton as guest evangelist again next August. .Mrs. Gail Hammock of Warwick spent several days recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty. On Saturday, August 4, Pam and Gail attended homecoming at Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto. .Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty spent several days at St. George Island, Fla. They joined Mr. and Mrs. Dusty Kay and Madison of Sharon who were spending the week there. .Whitney Branham spent Friday night with Erika Scott in Tignall to celebrate Erica's 13th birthday. They had fun staying up late watching movies and listening to music. .Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty had supper Sunday night with his aunt, Mrs. Cheryl Holsclaw, in Washington. .Benjamin Hodges visited Charlie Branham Sunday afternoon. They enjoyed swimming together. .Seems like I've had my share of bad luck lately. The refrigerator and freezer on the back porch somehow got disconnected and some things thawed out before I discovered it. Then last week my microwave stopped working. We made several trips out-of-town before we found one that would fit.After Ray got it installed I realized it was too fancy for me. It was so different from my old one. My grandson Charlie set the clock and popped popcorn. He tried to show me how to cook things. I still haven't used it. Charlie said, "Grandma, if you need me, call me." We also have a new phone and I don't know how to use it either! I have instructions for both but haven't tried to understand them yet. Oh well! Maybe soon.
