How great God is

The little girl was asked, "How big and how great is God."

She stretched her little arms as wide as she could and said, "I can't stretch that far! He's too big!"

Oh, yes. He is indeed. He is so great. At times we all have asked the silly question, "How can God attend to the needs of billions of people?" And to that I ask, "What's a few billion people with God's greatness and ability?" Plus, don't forget the millions of goodhearted folks that help Him out and the Lord's team of angels that work around the clock.

And while God and his associates are doing good, the devil and his band of evil-doers are triple timing doing all they can that's bad, influencing sin and evil deeds. Through evil man they keep folks in poverty and they afflictthem with diseases and social illnesses. They even stir up chaos in the elements and wage battles with God's army of angels out in the spirit sphere.

That's why the Word says that we don't truly battle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of the air, but praise the sweet holy righteous name of the Lord God Jehovah, "Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world!"

So how could we ask something so simple of a Creator that created an unmeasurable, unexplainable and unbelievable universe? How great is God? My mind just can't fathom nor stretch that far, but as the old Swedish inspirational folk song says, "Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art. Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee! How great thou art! How great thou art."

Will you shout amen to a great God?
