The upset bug has been just as active in Dixie as it has in the rest of the Nation. Last week Alabama whipped Arkansas, Mississippi State topped Auburn, Kentucky surprised Louisville, Boston College upended Georgia Tech, Troy beat Oklahoma and the Duke Blue Devils ended the Nation's longest losing streak (22 games) by outlasting Northwestern on the road.

Can we expect more of the same this week? Well, let's see.

Georgia at Alabama - This game is a candidate for an upset. The Dawgs are coming off a breather win over Western Carolina, while the Tide had an emotionally charged upset win over nationally ranked Arkansas. Bama's head man Nick Saban won't let Georgia turn the tables, however. Alabama by 7.

Kentucky at Arkansas - The Razorbacks are still reeling from the loss in Tuscaloosa last Saturday night. Kentucky is on an emotional high following their first win over Louisville since 2001. This one is almost too close to call, but Arkansas's home field advantage should be just barely enough to stop the surging Wildcats. Arkansas by 3.

Florida at Ole Miss - The Rebels should pose no problem for the powerful Gators. Florida by 21.

South Carolina at LSU - Those folks in Columbia think the Gamecocks can win the SEC Championship this year. This is highly doubtful and LSU should pound the Birds at home. LSU by 24.

East Carolina at West Virginia - Skip Holtz's Pirates continue to face one tough test after another. West Virginia is definitely BCS Bowl material. White and Slaton won't run wild for the Mountaineers but the Pirates won't pull an upset either. West Virginia by 17.

Clemson at N.C. State - The Wolfpack is gathering momentum, but Clemson just may be the best team in the ACC this year. Clemson by 14.

Duke at Navy - Can the Blue Devils extend their winning streak to 2 games? Is Navy in a rebuilding year? Who knows? Upset pick - Duke by 2.

Georgia Tech at Virginia - The Yellow Jackets were stung by the Eagles from Boston College last Saturday night. Virginia is just what the doctor ordered to salve their wounds. Georgia Tech by 12.

Maryland at Wake Forest - These two sleeper teams in the ACC remain in contention for a berth in the Championship game. Neither may make it, but this should be a very good football game. Wake Forest by 3.

Texas A&M at Miami - Tonight's ESPN's headliner should be close for one half. By the third quarter the Aggies should pull away from the re-building Canes. Texas A&M by 17.
