Congressman Paul Broun has announced the opening of a new district officein Columbia County to serve the residents of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Broun announced the opening locally during a brief stop in Washington to speak with friends and community leaders.

"I am excited to announce that our Evans/Augusta district officeis open and ready to assist residents of the CSRA," said Broun. "I have been told by longtime local residents that this is the first time a Congressional officehas ever been located in Columbia County. I am honored to be able to bring this officeto Columbia County on behalf of the residents of Evans, Augusta and the Central Savannah River Area, and I encourage people needing assistance with the federal government to contact us."

The Evans/Augusta District Officeis open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. It will serve residents of Wilkes, Columbia, Elbert, Lincoln, McDuffie, and Richmond Counties.

Congressman Broun will soon announce the opening of two additional district officesto be based in Toccoa and Athens.
