High school student leaders go to FCCLA fall leadership rally in Perry
Officersof the Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) attended the fall leadership rally in Perry. They are Jasmine Cleveland, Shanaye Blackmon, Mariah Crew, Kiwana Mayes, Victoria McLendon, Sandricka Smith, and Brittnay Turner. Officersof the Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) attended the fall leadership rally at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry on October 10.
The students enjoyed a "Power Presenting Techniques" presentation from motivational speaker Bryan Fiese. They also watched as Fiese hypnotized selected FCCLA members during the meeting. Fiese is a member of the National Board of Hypnosis.
Students from all over the state were exposed to essential information and skills needed to excel as a presenter; and how to build greater personal skills and confidenceto present information by focusing on techniques for developing voice, eye contact, gestures, posture, and movement for maximum impact.
Of special interest was a "Peace, Love and Leadership" skit presented by FCCLA state officers.
