Rev. Albert Huyck was the guest minister at Ebenezer Sunday. His wife, Eudora, came with him.

How about this weather! Hot, cool, hot, cool, and hot again. I've been a little bit "under the weather" the last few days. My doctor sent me antibiotics and I am some better. The dry, dry, weather is causing folks to be sick, with sinus and breathing problems.

Our community celebrated some birthdays the past week. My family got together and we all went to Fatz in Athens. G.B., me, Shane, Nick, Tanner, Burt, and some friends, Charles and Hilda Palmer, enjoyed the evening out. Kim Hall and her friend also joined us.

Sara Huff celebrated Sunday. Her son, Randy Goldman, and Connie Johnson carried her out after church to the Home Cafe in Washington.

Richard and Brenda Phillips celebrated his birthday Friday by going to a Japanese steak house in Augusta. Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla visited during the week and on Sunday they helped Richard celebrate. The Phillipses spent Saturday in Helen.

My friend, Barbara Reese LeRoy, carried me out to lunch at Savannah Lakes in South Carolina Thursday. We enjoyed being together and talking about old times. Shannon Thommason visited me during the weekend and brought a lovely gift. My grandson Trace sent me a dozen yellow roses which thrilled me so much. It is so nice to be remembered.

Tina Van Hart celebrated her birthday Saturday. She and her cousin, Denise Cunningham of Lincoln County, enjoyed a day in Augusta.

Our visitors for Sunday were Burt Newsome and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gaines and Tanner of Winterville.

Our prayer concerns include Jack Strother, Rose Newby, Jenelle Newsome, Lucy McCorkle, Willie Ruth Freeman, Jimmie Lou Benton, William Norman, Joe Charping, Claire Nelson, Ernest Cathey, Henry and Blanche Wallace, Dan and Mildred McAvoy, Warren and Lois Nunn, Mike Webb, Linda Albea, the Wills families, the Edgar Cooper family, Dawn Cosby, Gus Turpin, Mrs. B.C.
