Sunday was pastor appreciation day at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church. Our pastor, Rev. O'Neil Martin, was presented a beautiful card signed by each member of the congregation and a gift from the church. Rev. Martin preached a good message from Acts 4:23-31 ƒMr. and Mrs. James Sherrer visited Mrs. Sue McCarty in Danielsville Tuesday afternoon.
Pam McCarty and her sister, Gail Hammock of Warwick, spent Wednesday night in Auburn, Ala. On Thursday they attended the funeral of W.A. Curry, a longtime family friend.
Mrs. Juanita Bradford and Mrs. John Sutherland visited Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bradford in Thomson Wednesday.
John Hopkins of Athens visited his grandmother, Mrs. Iris Dyson, Saturday afternoon. Samille Sherrer visited her that evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blaine of Dahlonega spent the weekend at their home here. They visited Mrs. Evans Davis Sunday.
After attending homecoming at Danburg Baptist Church, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Huff visited Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer.
This Saturday, October 20, Wilkes County Baptist Church near Tignall is having its fall festival. Rev. Mark Stein and members extend a welcome to all, especially families with children. Come join in and have a great time. There will be games to play and good things to eat. The time is 4-6 p.m.
