The Washington-Wilkes Tiger Cross Country team traveled to East Jackson Comprehensive High School in Commerce, Georgia, on October 9, but most of the contest was called due to bad weather.

However, middle schooler Joshua McLeroy ran in the 2K race and placed second at 13:07.

The last home meet for the runners will be held today (Thursday, October 18) at the high school beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Coach Benita Sanders is looking forward to the two remaining meets of the season and to the region meet to be held in Oglethorpe County on November 3.
