Elizabeth Faye Newsome Justin Mark Holmes Mr. and Mrs. Parks Smythe Newsome Jr. of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Faye, to Justin Mark Holmes of Oviedo, Fla., son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Vernon Holmes, also of Oviedo.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frank Maloney of Doraville and the late Floy W. Jumper of Gastonia, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. P. Smythe Newsome of Washington.

She is a 2000 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Science. Miss Newsome plans to graduate May 3, 2008, as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

Mr. Holmes is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. McVey and the late Gloria McVey of Prattville, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Irvis A. Holmes of Birmingham, Ala.

He is a 2000 graduate of Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Fla., and a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Culture. Mr. Holmes is working as an assistant coach for the University of Georgia Bulldogs baseball team.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 12, at 6:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Washington.
