Samantha Wheatley celebrates seventh birthday October 15

Samantha Wheatley, daughter of Greg and Crystal Wheatley, was seven years old on October 15 and was honored on several occasions.

Samantha was treated to a sleepover/ slumber party at her home on Friday, October 12, with her friends, Alyssa Holley, Brittney Byrd, Kelsie Scott, Laney Thornton, Maura Jackson, and her sister, Madison.They enjoyed pizza for supper and various soft drinks in addition to snacks of popcorn and M&Ms.

Party activities included pillow fights, painting nails, make-up done by Gretchen Lamar, making bead jewelry, decorating polka dot pillowcases, bursting the high heel shoe piñata, watching a movie, singing karaoke, and dancing. The evening ended with bedtime stories.

Also joining the party and assisting with the activities and crafts in addition to Mrs. Lamar were Pam Davis, Rebecca Davis, Crystal Purdy, and Heather Wheatley of Athens. Laura and Tim Purdy also stopped by with birthday wishes.

The following morning the girls awoke to a breakfast of grapes, miniblueberry muffinsand juice.

As each guest left to go home, Samantha presented her a goodie bag filled with girlie items.

Samantha celebrated on her birthday with her classmates at Washington Wilkes Primary School. She shared a chocolate chip cookie cake, Cheese Puffs, and Capri-Sun juice boxes.

In the evening she was treated by her mom, dad and sister, Madison, to a birthday supper of fried chicken, spinach and cheesy potatoes and birthday cake decorated with girlie items like lipstick, a pocket book, a high heel shoe and sunglasses.
