Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hendry of Braselton announce the birth of their daughter, Ava Madeline, on Monday, October 15, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Ava weighed 8 lbs. 6 ozs. and was 21 ½ inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bailey of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. James Walters of Elberton. Maternal great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bagwell of Kings Mountain, N.C., Mr. and Mrs. Everett Bailey of Ardmore, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Walters of Elberton. Maternal greatgreat grandparents are Mrs. Walter Bagwell and Howard Gunter, both of Elberton.

Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hendry of Consett County Durham, England, and Flowery Branch. Paternal greatgrandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Black of Ashington Northumberland, United Kingdom.

Mrs. Hendry is the former Amanda Walters of Washington.
