Mattie Lucile Heard, daughter of Richard and Lou Heard, was four years old on October 10 and celebrated on two occasions.

On October 6 Mattie celebrated with family and friends at a My Little Pony party at her home in Rayle. A My Little Pony cloth, happy birthday banner and My Little Pony balloons were used in decorating.

Mattie's My Little Pony cake was served with ice cream in addition to other party foods that included Cheese Puffs, chips and dip and pizza.

Favors were party bags filled with candy, bubbles, pencils and balloons.

Celebrating with Mattie and her parents were her brother, Hank; grandparents, Linda Echols and Danny and Gail Heard of Rayle; Scott and Cissy Smith, Angela, Cody and Hunter Armour, Will and Samantha Callaway, Jason and Jenny Dove, Stacy and Madison Kay, and Jeri, Ryan and Ally Hucke.

Mattie was also treated to a Strawberry Shortcake party with her playmates at the First Baptist Church Pre-Kindergarten on her birthday. Everyone enjoyed cupcakes, Cheese Puffs, juice boxes and party favors.
