Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and Washington- Wilkes Middle School will host a joint open house on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, for the parents and students of each school. Between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., parents may pick up their child's latest progress report and meet with teachers.

Parents of W-WCHS students will be invited to go to one of the school's computer labs to participate in an online survey regarding issues at W-WCHS. Parents will also be able to write down questions to be placed in a "Drop Box." Selected questions will be answered periodically in this newspaper.

It is the desire of both W-WCHS and W-WMS to enhance parent/ school communications. "We are committed to monitoring student progress and providing opportunities for parents to be informed and address concerns they may have," said Steve Echols, principal of W-WCHS. "Through preventive measures and parent/school collaboration, the students of W-WCHS and W-WMS can experience greater success. So, please come out and support this event, meet the educators involved in your child's life, and learn about wonderful things happening at W-WCHS and WWMS."
