The Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation will present the Washington Chorale in Handel's "Messiah" at the First Baptist Church, Washington, on Sunday, November 25, at 8 p.m.

The singers will be accompanied by a string ensemble from the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Anne Myers, and Jo Randall.

The program will be directed by Shirley Gunter, choral director. Soloists for the presentation will be Shay Harris, Teresa Bishop, Tommy Wells, and Tom Duggan.

The 42-voice choir is made up of Washington-Wilkes people, all of whom have sung this beautiful music before. Some of the more familiar of the eight choruses are "And the Glory of the Lord," "For Unto Us a Child Is Born," "Surely," and the beloved "Hallelujah Chorus."

There is no admission charge for the presentation. Donations will be received at the door.

It has been three years since the "Messiah" was sung in Washington, and listening to this wonderful music again promises to be an exciting way to begin the Christmas celebration.
